we arrived late at night from the ferry; the girl at reception was very welcoming and the room was clean and comfortable (esp. after a week on a sailboat); location could not be better and the breakfast was pretty good too

A basic,adequate,clean hotel. What makes it superb is the fifth floor patio looking at the Acropolis. At night with the lights on the Parthenon it has to be seen to be believed. With a glass of wine, it just doesn't get any better.

The best thing about this hotel is it's location - less than a block from the Acropolis Metro station, making it very easy to get around the city and to and from the airport, and right in the Plaka area, which is full of shops and wonderful places to eat and is very lively until 11pm or so. The hotel staff was wonderful, the rooms very nice, an internet connection in the lobby, and a breakfast buffet which was the best I've ever seen (or tasted!)! My only critique is that the beds were hard, and the temperature was not adjustable, although they have both air conditioning and heat. All in all, I would highly recommend!

Dears, we called your office in Athens on Saturday and made a complaint about the room. We had booked a triple room but got double room instead with additional bed. Therefore space was extremely small. moreover the hotel staff did not inform us abut this room change. So we did not know the standard of the room we were supposed to get. the person we spoke to on Saturday from your agency, as a way of recompense, offered us a double room price of 87 Euro /per night. Great position, good value, small niggles  Guest Rating (70%)
The Acropolis View is exceptionally well located right near the main entrance to the Acropolis. The neighborhood is quiet (in Jan when we were there). The staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms small but very clean and the bathrooms are better than most hotels in this price range. The views from the roof garden are quite splendid and worth the money alone. It is certainly value for money. Niggles (which in a busier season may be more serious) are that the walls are very thin - we could hear our children next door very clearly and they weren't being noisy. The corridors are quite echo-ey so noise at night amplifies into your room. Breakfast is VERY simple - adequate but could be better without being fancy. I would definitely recommend the hotel based on the staff, location and views from roof garden, but don't expect everything to be perfect for such a small amount of money.

Acropolis View ist ein kleines ruhig gelegenes Hotel in Nähe der Acropolis, nur ca. 500 m von der Plaka entfernt. Unser Hotelzimmer wurde jeden Morgen gründlich und liebevoll gesäubert und aufgeräumt. Der Service war gut und freundlich. Das Frühstück ist ein wenig dürftig. Anreise etwas schwierig da die sogenannte "Webster"-Strasse in keinem Stadtplan und auch vor Ort nicht als Strssenname zu finden ist.

This hotel is very near the Acropolis (has an excellent view), and is 7min walk from the Metro, but that's about it. the room is above averagea and hotel staff is very nice. i would recommend that you stay near the Monastraki, Omonia or Syntagma Metro.
