Don't complain people there is far worse out there. Would stay again. Great restaurant straight across the road.

Located in a very run down and seedy area, the hotel is of a high quality but the lobby is one huge open area with the accompanying noise level - which makes it feel more like an airport than a relaxing hotel. Also very expensive wifi at €24 per day - overall doesnt offer the standard that you are likely to expect from a 5* hotel.

When I arrived at the hotel I was really very, very disappointed as they wanted me to pay cash, even though I booked already through your agency. There where no arguments possible, as the owner became quit angry when I told him I would not deliver cash as I have given my credicard details already through the internet. Further there was a computer running in the lobby displaying explicit sexual content visible to everyone. I left the hotel immediately without desire to spend even one night there.
Thus conluded I ask you to refund me the 28,00 Euros you charged to my credicard within shortest delay. If I dont receive that money back I will do a refunding process through my credicard company at your expenses.

Great location! Great treatment! Next to the new Acropolis museum and all interesting sites in Athens Plaka and Parthenon. All hotel rooms are equipped with fast internet access, however, even if you don’t bring your own notebook Marble House has the best internet table corner. Made of glass and real marble!!!! The hotel is inside a small dead-end street away from noise, seams like an oasis… within Athens. The hotel itself and rooms are well decorated and seams recently renovated. A huge BRAVO goes to owners who really pay attention to your request always friendly, welcoming, and with a big smile willing to assist. Definitely, that’s one good reason to return!!!

The best point about this hotel is its location, right by Monistaraki, easy walk to the Acropolis etc. Won't find much cheaper in such a good spot. it\\\'s simply a lie that this hotel is located in a quiet street. in the only night i spent there, i couldn\\\'t sleep because of the noise, that the hundreds (no lie!) of people und the street were producing, though my room was at the 4th floor. screams, shouts, cries, everything was there. of course we decided to move to another hotel and cause there was a huge police razzia in the street and the police took noumerous of the creepy men, who always are crowdening the street with them, while we were waiting for the cabs, we were simply grateful to be able to leave.

-Pan Hotel is a very bad and filthy one.
-Staff is too \"cold\" with guests, annoying (chambermaids open and close room doors all time-especially when you try to sleep-they may look for company, who knows!) and impolite.
-There is no security at the entrance.
-Receptionists are only for decorative reasons and they give wrong information-obviously because they are uninformed.
-There is no strongbox while it is provided for a 3-star hotel(instead they offer some antiquated drawers with key-they were next to the unguarded door)
-Too noisy, because it is near the centre of the town (the one and only advantage of the hotel)
-Breakfast is set many hours before it is served-ofcourse without any cover.
-Be careful both you and especially your children-windows are too dangerous and so big that you can easily fall over the building.
-Many foreigners at the hotel area-be aware of your personal belongings and your bodily integrity.
-No facilities provided for the guests.
-Almost empty(no shampoo, showergel etc),old and rather disgusting wc.
-Last but not least for us they required (in a very unkind way) to pay something we didn\'t drink from the(almost non-existent)mini-bar.
It is NOT SUGGESTED. NOT AT ALL!!!!!

Our stay was wonderful. Although your website mentioned a hot tub on the roof and a bar that did not exist. The rooms were clean and provided everything we needed. The breakfast was outstanding and your staff was gracious and helpful EXCEPT for the man at the front desk named Demetrius. Our group consisted of approximately 21 people coming from all over the US. He played a power game trip on many of us when we questions why we all had different rates, I did not get a single nice comment about him from the entire group. He ran most of us in circles and made vague references like if I could give him the "exact" time I called he could check implying that I was lying; and seemed to enjoy giving you a real "run-around". He made dealing with the front desk unbearable and many of us just avoided him. I wish I could remember the name of the gentleman who was so helpful and accommidating (I believe he also ran tours) you should have more people like that at the front desk; Demetrius should never be put at the front desk. If I knew that I would have to deal with him again I would not stay at your hotel; he was the most unpleasant experience I had staying with you.

It's right in the center of the city, it's not very expensive, the room was large but not exactly "greatly clean looking", the hotel was not really a hotel for tourists (apparently it was used by locals, so to speak), there was no internet in the hotel, there was no room service such as cleaning or towels change, there was no fridge (in spite of the sayings of the website), but it was alright for two nights.
PS: there were some good organic shops and vegetarian restaurants close by.

The Hotel Austria isn\\\'t the fanciest place in town, but the prices aren\\\'t as expensive as some of the downtown hotels, and it isn\\\'t a loud hostel. So, you do get your own room and bathroom, even if everything is bare bones. You will just be crashing here, so being by the base of the Acropolis is all you need! The staff is friendly and helpful.

But your services as 'Athens Holiday Ltd., travel agency' is good and thank you very much for everything. Greetings.

The hotel was very well priced, clean and comfortable and was also well located for our purposes. The Hotel's lobby was light and airy and the decor was modern and tasteful.

Clean, extremely friendly staff, convenient location, excellent choice for one night, just pretty noisy because of all the traffic but that might be a universal feature for hotels in Athens

This is small and cheap hotel. Furniture are old, generally rather clean. The best thing is airconditioning. It would be hard to survive in small rooms in summer without it ;-)

I inadvertnetly double booked using the Hotel Austria site and hotelathens. I stayed two night and have paid for three. The hotel refuses to make any adjustments. There is no view of the acropolis from the hotel and the front desk people act as if they have no control over what happens in the office. Would not stay there again.

We booked a room several month before staying.
asked and paid in advance for a room with balcony and away from the street.
Got a very small and dark room at 1 floor without balcony and facing the street.
The bathroom door could´nt open quite because of the toilet
The staf very arrogant and did´nt try to organize another room.
The breakfast ok
the view from the roofterasse fantastic

We spent two nights on both end of our trip to the Greek Islands. We were given a different room on each stay. Both were identical and could fit four of us with the help of a extra foldable bed. The rooms were clean and of a fair size. The Air conditioning was not very good. This led to sleeping with open windows, with occasional loud partying from pedestrians (loud but happy noise). The Hotel is situated in the Placa the perfect location for tourists and a five minute walk from Syntagma Square which makes it convenient to reach thanks to the very good Athens Subway system. We took cabs to Piraeus and the Airport from the Hotel (Piraeus approx 25 Euros, Airport 40 Euros). If the goal of your stay in Athens is to reach the Island the next day, the Athos Hotel is a good place to stay for a family at a decent price and offers a better option than staying in Piraeus.

This is a lovely hotel stucked away in a quiet area around Athens very near to all central places and the Metro. Very safe to walk at night. There's a supermarket at the corner and fully equipped gym close to this gym at Euro 5/day. I would definitely recommend this hotel to families with children. Very clean and comfortable. Although the hotel does not have internet access, I was able to log on WIFI free. There was no breakfast served. The hotel should not have charged Euro 9/day for airconditioning. I did not asked for AC as it was not hot when we arrived last 24th June 2009. We stayed for 4 nights.

This hotel is clean and comfortable with good-sized rooms, a/c, free internet (if you have your own computer), and a nice roof patio. The staff is also very friendly. The major drawback is the location. Although it isn\'t physically that far from Monastiraki metro and some main street, it\'s on a very small street far enough from the main streets that it feels unsafe after dark, especially for anyone traveling alone. I think the neighborhood in general is kind of rough, as I saw some prostitutes a few streets over. During the day, there are groups of what looks like unemployed men just sitting around on the neighboring streets, so it made me feel uncomfortable as a woman traveling alone, even during the day time. I would recommend the hotel highly for itself, but I would also recommend getting the 5 euro cab ride from Monastiraki metro straight to the front door after dark. The price is very good - it\'s even better to book through the internet directly. I might stay there again in the future, but I wish it were just a few blocks closer to Athinas Street.

I reserved a room with a single, queen bed, but upon arrival, I was given a room with 2 little beds. We were not offered a discount. Not exactly the romantic room we were looking for. But the view was fantastic.
